How to Participate in an I3A Effort
Participation in I3A Interest Group (IG) initiatives is open to all I3A members in good standing who are part of the IG where the initiative resides. (Regular members who want to join an additional IG may do so by paying a small fee; see the Membership section for details.) Any I3A member in good standing may initiate an IG initiative by filling out the Idea template. Upon approval of the idea by the members of the IG, initiative activity can commence.
There is no fee to participate in typical IG initiatives. More complex initiatives that involve payments to outside vendors may require funding from members to achieve their goals, and these fees are determined by an Initiative Work Plan created by the participants. The I3A Management Committee must approve an IG Initiative Work Plan before fees are assessed and work begins.
