WG5: Physical Properties and Image Permanence of Image Materials

WG5 focuses on developing standards and recommended practices for physical properties, permanence behavior and the effect of environmental factors on imaging materials. Imaging materials include, but are not limited to, photographic film and paper image transfer materials, magnetic recording materials, electro-optical materials, and digital output materials. Digital output materials include, but are not limited to, inkjet prints on paper and other substrates. This activity is coordinated with the work of existing applications and technologies committees in related areas.

IT9: Image Permanence

The scope of the I3A/IT9 committee is the development of standards and recommended practices for physical properties, permanence behavior and the effect of environmental factors on imaging materials. Imaging materials include, but are not limited to, photographic film and paper image transfer materials, magnetic recording materials, electro-optical materials, and digital output materials. Digital output materials include, but are not limited to, inkjet prints on paper and other substrates. This activity is coordinated with the work of existing applications and technologies committees in related areas.

The primary focus of IT9 is the development of the USA opinion on ISO standards developed by TC42/WG5.
